We aim to inspire urban gardeners to connect and collaborate with nature by showcasing sustainable gardens which:

Grow Kai (Food) – edible gardens filled with food for whānau creating food sovereignty

Nurture Birds & Bees – habitat and food for beneficial insects, birds and other wildlife boosting our city’s contribution to biodiversity

Protect us from Extreme Weather – resilient to climate change through sponge soils and trees which offer ecosystems services including cooling, carbon sequestration and many more

Recycle Stuff – showcasing a circular economy through the use of recycled materials and reducing waste

Create Community – bring people together, connecting through mutual love of gardening and nature

We need more of these bountiful maara kai connecting places in a beautiful mandala across Tamaki Makaurau to ensure a thriving future for our mokopuna and all life. If you wish to talk to us about setting up a Trail in your area, please contact us.
